Originally released in 1993 on the beloved Sarah Records, Feral Pop Frenzy is the only full-length album from Sydney indie pop group Even As We Speak. Formed in 1986, the band developed a distinctive style that mixed bright, accessible guitar pop with quirky arrangements, ironic touches, and occasional experimental detours.
The group became a cult favorite during their time in the UK, recording three sessions for BBC Radio 1’s John Peel and scoring multiple Top 10 positions in the NME and Melody Maker indie charts. This 25th Anniversary remaster revisits the album with refreshed sound and new artwork, celebrating one of the most recognizable releases from the Sarah Records catalog. A Rocket Otter Favorite!
