Even As We Speak: The Black Forest (CD)

Originally associated with the beloved UK indie label Sarah Records, Australian indie pop band Even As We Speak returned in 2017 with The Black Forest, their first new release since 1993. The EP arrived after renewed interest in the Sarah Records catalog brought the band back together for festival appearances, including a sold-out performance at NYC Popfest.

Reinvigorated by playing together again, the group entered the studio to record five new songs that carry forward the melodic charm and jangly guitar pop that defined their earlier work. The result is a set of bright, heartfelt indie pop tracks that feel both nostalgic and freshly energized.
