The Polytechnic Youth Label: They Make No Say: Forty Fives on CD

They Make No Say: Forty Fives on CD compiles a selection of long sold-out 7" releases from Polytechnic Youth, the North London label devoted to minimal synth and DIY electronic music inspired by the late ’70s and early ’80s underground. Originally issued in very small runs, many of these singles have become highly collectible, with some commanding significant prices on the secondary market.

Gathering tracks from the label’s early releases, the compilation offers a more accessible entry point into the Polytechnic Youth catalog while also functioning as a cohesive full-length listening experience. The music draws heavily from the stark, experimental edge of classic minimal synth and primitive electronics.
